Steve Harvey Neighborhood Awards 2015

This past weekend I attended the Steve Harvey Neighborhood Awards 2015 and overall it was a great event. There were tons of stars which is always an attraction for people. The list of stars included Tamar, K. Michele, Tamela and David Mann, Wendy Raquel Robinson, Tyrese, Usher, Sanaa Lathan, Michael Ealy and Babyface, Kim Whitley, Sheryl Underwood, Erica Campbell and Yolanda Adams; just to name a few. The weekend included an all white freedom Friday party and seminars, TV show screenings and expos. We attended Steve Harvey's family feud which was absolutely hilarious. 

We attended his live taping of his morning show where my girl K. Michele performed. She looked beautiful and had on a blue jumpsuit with splits and Steve Harvey couldn't get over her big behind, lol. The ladies raved for Robin Thicke and screamed when Tyrese came out, he didn't perform at the morning show but he spoke for a few mins. Also, the amazingly gifted Avery Sunshine performed. She looked beautiful with her all white pants and top on. His hosts were so fun, funny and kept us entertained.

We attended the seminars which were okay but they should've had performers in the expo as well. The vendors had some really cute clothes for great prices. What I've noticed about Atlanta is there stores have some great clothing in it. I even ran into Karlie Redd's store in Stonecrest Mall, Merci!! We seen a semi see with Stephen Smith, Kandi and Dr. Laura about Would you date you? And the debate was on, especially between strong minded Kandi and big mouth Stephen.

We also attended a step show that included five great sorority steppers and their stern faces. One group stood out in particular by taking their shirts off and gyrating on the stage, all in a PG13 way.

The Ford Celebrity Blue Carpet was a distance from the stars that was hard to reach or speak to but it was nice that they gave fans that opportunity. 

The actual Hoodie Awards was so funny, my seat was far and high up which was a bit scary but worth the time. It took about five hours to go through each award and the performances which featured Tyese, Usher and Babyface. During the show, Tamela did an impromptu performance of Take Me to the King and the audience loved it. The show showcased some great barbers, soul food owners, best nail salon, teacher and school which a hometown based school "Flowes High School" won. DC was nominated several times. Usher did a wonderful job, even though he says he was injured a week before and Tyrese sang his heart out to the ladies; and actually became a fan of Babyface, whom I didn't know was a sex symbol. He ripped that shirt off and inspired Steve to do the same, Lol!! 

A great show that I seen through the TV screenings was "Family Time" featuring Angel Conway and Omar Gooding. It comes on Bounce TV!! 

This is my look for the awards show, I was a little unprepared but the vendors had this cute boutique where I found this gaucho bustier jumpsuit. There is so much to say that I know you will probably stop reading about halfway through, but go ahead and book your flights, hotels and everything else in advance. I love that Steve Harvey has a show dedicated to the people in the community that is doing well. Steve Harvey is a great man, he gave the oldest woman in the room, $1,000 from his pockets. Nephew Tommy and someone else gave her $100 and she received a grill from MasterBuilt. Great and nice people everywhere, the neighborhoods actually remind me a lot of DC.

I would recommend this event to anyone who likes stars, fun, music and shopping.

According ABC News 24 in Memphis, video performer Pebbelz Da Model, real name Natasha Stewart, was arrested along with another woman in connection to a homicide in Mississippi.

Pebbelz, known for videos and photos featuring her 48-inch backside, was wanted for questioning in the death of a Mississippi woman who had her buttocks injected with concrete. Stewart was wanted for questioning and was arrested on January 3rd then charged with being a fugitive from justice in relation to the homicide.

She is currently being held at a Shelby County Jail with another woman, Shannetria Newberry.

Pebbelz Da Model is a native of Memphis and has appeared in videos for  for rappers like Cam’ron , in magazines like “Straight Stuntin” and “F.E.D.S’ and has a series of DVDS.

She thinks she could prove Kim K. and Coco butts are fake, I believe both of their butts are real

I don't think their butts are fake because they both have short body frames(5'2 inches) which means everything is more compact. They exercise which strengthens the butt muscles and they have family members with similar shapes so it;s genetic.

We recently heard that you have taken a trip to Europe, how did their Hip Hop Scene inspire your new mix-tape?

I have always had a love and fascination for Audrey Hepburn, so when I decided to take a break from the industry, I began to do research on her life. This is what led me to Amsterdam, Brussels, Paris, and a few other countries. While in Paris I was surprised to find such a vast hip hop culture. What they listen to over there is just like what we listen to, but what they create is dope. And I wanted to put some of those influences on my own mix-tape. You will hear that from some of the production. And of course I had to bring in some of my own favorite rappers. That is why I brought in Wale and 2 Chainz. I love me some 2 Chainz; don’t let his songs come on in the club… you’ll find me up on the table with bottles in my hands, dancing like there’s no tomorrow.

What elements did you find, while in Europe, that gave you a real Hip Hop feel for your mix-tape?

Well, while I was in Paris, I made friends with some producers from Angola Africa, and DJ’s from Paris. I was blessed enough for them to agree to help work on my mix-tape Audrey Hepburn: An Audiovisual Presentation. I pulled in textures, sounds, lyrics, and styles of hip hop that is so unique in Europe. So hopefully I can shed some light to young people here in America on how hip hop is universal.

What are some keys things you would like to point out about your new mix-tape Audrey Hepburn: An Audiovisual Presentation?

For one, I am not a rapper. I am a singer and a girl. And most mix-tapes are done by rappers, who are guys. My mix-tape is personal, girly, and emotional. It also has a graffiti and street element. It’s a mixture of hip hop and R&B, and even jazz! And it features Rob Glasper , who just had the number one jazz album in the country. “I am so excited about that!” Some would consider it a little more eclectic for a mix-tape, but it’s something I wanted to do from the bottom of my heart and give away to my fans and supporters.

There are many Chrisette Michele fans out there who want to know about your future release. When can they expect a new album from you?

The album is finished, and is set to be released Spring of 2013. I called my album Better because I am at a better place in my life. I’ve gone vegan, shed a lot of weight, mentally and physically, and on this album you will be able to hear me, Chrissy. This mix-tape is the catalyst to my album, because I nervously am showing you who I am. It almost feels like I’m a new artist. With every song; I have my fingers crossed that you will like it. See, I’m excited about this mix-tape because you can release what you want. But with an album, you have to wait. It has to go through a whole bunch of channels. So I decided to put something out in the mean time. However, the new album Better will be available soon, with the single dropping in late December and will be available on I-Tunes.

Is there anything else you would like your fans to know?

I have started a new company called the Rich Hipster Team. What the “Rich Hipster” movement stands for is the ability to be rich in heart, and rich in art. I am doing things a little differently now, like styling myself and rocking a high top fade! I just want to be Chrisette from this day forward. No politics or executives; I just want to be me. And I really hope that people will embrace it, and join the Rich Hipster movement coming to a city near you.

I know you've heard the drama with Halle's fiance and child's father. TMZ reported: 

• Halle Berry is taking no chances ... she's going to court early this week for a restraining order against Gabriel Aubry after the blowout fight Thanksgiving day ... TMZ has learned.
• Sources familiar with the situation tell TMZ Halle and her lawyers are alarmed that Gabriel allegedly started the fight with Olivier Martinez right in front of 4-year-old Nahla. Although a judge issued an emergency order of protection -- requiring Gabriel to stay 100 yards away from Halle, Nahla and Olivier -- that order expires Tuesday. 
• We're told Halle's lawyers will be in family court asking a judge to extend that protection for an indefinite period of time. 
• TMZ broke the story ... the bloody fight landed both Gabriel and Olivier in the same hospital ER. Gabriel was arrested and could be charged with criminal battery.
• Sources tell us ... Halle's argument is pretty simple -- if Gabriel can't control himself enough to protect Nahla from emotional trauma, it's too risky for him to be around the child, Halle, or her fiance ... with whom he clearly has beef.
• Halle has firepower behind the argument, because we know Halle's lawyers argued before the same judge on previous occasions that Gabriel's temper was uncontrollable.

This video is very dry to me until the ending at about 4:07.

 I need Missy Elliott to come back with a ENTERTAINING, OUT OF THIS WORLD VIDEO and show ARTIST WHAT A TRUE ARTIST SHOULD PRODUCE.

    

Earlier Today, I heard so much about "Please Don't Judge Me" the video and how Chris was crying and it was so sad. I was so anxious to see exactly what everyone was talking about.

The Concept of this Video is......

Chris and this woman he loves are spending time together

 when he's faced with a difficult decision. In the end, he risks

 his life for those that he Love.

----Chris is constantly judged everyday based

 off of his Domestic Abuse situation with 

Rihanna in 2009 and his 

actions in response to the pain he carries.

----Chris has been in several twitter fights and 

a physical altercation in the past three years. 

I believe Chris is still in love with Rihanna and

 he expresses it in the wrong ways.

----- I like his style in the video especially at the beginning of the video.

 ----He is telling the world that if it ever

 came down to it he would sacrifice

 himself for his family or he feels like he

 has sacrificed himself for his love of 

music. 

  ----Chris doesn't feel that Society Loves

 him as much as he Loves Society's 

opinion.
